PASTORAL VISIT OF MGR PAUL-ANDRÉ DUROCHER

After the visit to the eastern and northern zones, the pastoral visit continues from January 15 in the English-speaking zone. Here you can see the schedule of the visit.

* For those who want to know what is a pastoral visit?

According to the Directory for the Ministry of Bishops: "The bishop is obliged to visit his diocese in whole or in part every year, so that he will visit it in its entirety at least once every five years... The pastoral visit is one of the forms, derived from the experience of the centuries, by which the bishop maintains personal contact with the clergy and other members of the people of God. It is an opportunity to rekindle the energies of the artisans of the Gospel, to praise, encourage and comfort them; it is also an occasion to invite all the faithful to a renewal of their Christian life and to a more intense apostolic action. The visit also allows him to evaluate the effectivenesś of the structures and means intended for pastoral life, becoming aware of the circumstances and difficulties of the work of evangelization in order to be able to better determine the priorities and means of an organic pastoral ministry..."
