SECOND ROUND OF ARCHBISHOP'S BRUNCHES
It's now official: there will be a second edition of the Archbishop's Brunch organized in partnership with the Novatio Foundation, the archdiocese and the parishes. Here's the schedule to date, please mark your calendars.
- 1st brunch: October 6, 2024 at the Papineauville community hall – Eastern Pastoral Region
- 2nd brunch: December 7, 2024 at St. Joseph's Cathedral – Western Pastoral Region
- 3rd brunch: January 26, 2025 at Ste-Trinité parish – Centre Pastoral Region.
As last year, proceeds will be donated by the Novatio Foundation to parish and community organizations. Stay tuned to find out when grant application forms will be made available and when tickets go on sale.
The Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops
The videos and reflection guide for the recently concluded webinar series titled "A Great Symphony of Prayer: The Our Father as a Programme of Life" delivered by Dr. Josephine Lombardi (St. Augustine's Seminary). This webinar series for the Year of Prayer 2024 in anticipation of the Jubilee Year 2025 will be followed by another series in fall 2024. A registration link for the fall series will be sent once it is available.

The Novatio team continued visiting grant recipients to deliver awarded funding. On May 21, the Foundation took part in the Grace Connexions Annual General Meeting, held in Gracefield. This project aims to establish a therapeutic farm to promote mental health and wellbeing as well as to increase access to services adapted to various needs in the Vallée-de-la-Gatineau. At the AGM, the Foundation's Executive Director Deacon René Laprise and Monique Washnuk, Philanthropic Development Advisor, met with the project's founders, Judy and Rick Brown. The Novatio team left inspired by their passion and dedication to bring this vision to life.
ANNUAL FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN
The Foundation's first annual campaign runs until June 30. Donations can be made online, and read the special Newsletter published last January. Thank you for your generosity!
