On the occasion of the diocesan patronal feast day on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, Bishop Paul-André Durocher invites all diocesans to a Eucharistic celebration at 6:30 p.m. at Ste Angélique church (292 Rue Papineau, Papineauville, QC J0V 1R0).

ARCHBISHOP'S BRUNCH - BOOK YOUR PLACE FOR OCTOBER 7 AT ST. MARK

As announced last spring, after ten editions of the Archbishop's Golf Open, the diocese's annual fundraiser, in partnership with the Novatio Foundation, is changing its format to become Les brunchs de l'archevêque. The mission remains the same: to support the work of community organizations in each of the diocese's pastoral zones. Les Jardins du Souvenir will sponsor all 4 brunches.

Tickets cost $25 for adults and $10 for children (12 and under). Tickets can now be purchased online here. There will also be an option to purchase tickets in the parish, and you will be notified when tickets are available.

109TH WORLD DAY OF MIGRANTS AND REFUGEES

"Free to choose whether to migrate or to stay" is the theme chosen by the Holy Father for the 109th World Day of Migrants and Refugees (WDMR), which this year is commemorated on 24 September 2023. In his message, Pope Francis proposes a renewed reflection on a right that has not yet been codified at the international level: the right not to have to migrate or, in other words, the right to be able to remain in one's own land.

The first Wednesday of October is the Provincial Day for the Permanent Deacons. The Assembly of the diocesan delegates of the permanent deacons, in partnership with the Carrefour intervocationnel, offers an animation kit (in French) to pray for this ordained ministry and to raise awareness for the mission of permanent deacons in our Church. We are invited to take advantage of this day to pray for deacons across Quebec, wives, and their families. Read more...

LAUNCH OF THE FOUNDATION'S FIRST ANNUAL CAMPAIGN

The Board of Directors of the Novatio Foundation is pleased to announce the launch of the Foundation's first annual campaign. The launch will take place as part of the Archbishop's Brunch Tour, an event in which Novatio is an official partner in support of community organizations. The launch will be an opportunity to publicize the projects funded by the Foundation in 2023, and to recognize the generosity of the donors who have supported Novatio's mission since its inception.

Location: St. Mark's Parish Hall, 160, rue Principale, Gatineau (Aylmer sector) 
Reservations: tickets are $25, children 12 and under are $10 and can be purchased online.
