FACEBOOK PAGE AND BLOG ADDRESSED TO OUR ENGLISH LANGUAGE PARISHIONERS
The archdiocese has launched a new Facebook page specifically adressed to our English-language parishioners. You can find it here. You don't need to have an account to see posts, only if you want to comment, share and like them.
We also launched a new English-language blog entitled "Together on the Way". We'll be posting longer articles here, reflections and testimonies. If you want to share a story about something going on in your parish, please feel free to contact our communications team at the diocese. Here is the link to our blog.
INFO SYNOD - Site Web
SOME NEWS FROM THE SYNOD AROUND THE WORLD
We can see that many Christians from all corners of the ecclesial horizon share the enthusiasm and the challenges we are facing in the preparatory phase of the synod. This first assessment makes us feel that we are in communion with the whole Church in the search for a competent and authentic listening in a true effort of discernment. We realize that these are places of learning for conversion and mission: two inseparable dimensions for the missionary disciples of Jesus Christ. Read more...

2022 FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN
In the next few days, parish councils will receive a brief survey to determine their needs for promotional material for the 2022 tithe campaign, which will take place after Easter in May. As in previous years, the diocese will support parishes by offering free promotional tools and an advertising campaign.
DIOCESAN CONTRIBUTION EXEMPTION DURING CHURCH CLOSURES
As was the case during the complete closure of the churches in the spring of 2020 and the winter of 2021, the Diocesan Economic Affairs Council (DEC) has decided to offer again a dispensation of 1/50 of the diocesan contribution for each Sunday of the closure of the churches since last December 31. With the reopening of the churches on 7 February, the dispensation will therefore be granted for 7 Sundays (including New Year's Day celebrations). Parishes will receive details of the amount of the dispensation granted to them with the communication of the invoice for the 1st quarter of 2022 for the diocesan contribution.
PARISH FINANCIAL STATEMENTS FOR 2021
Thank you to those parishes that have already sent in their financial statements for the year 2021 as required by the Fabrique Act. Parishes are invited to send in their documents by the end of February. This document will be of great importance in assessing the full extent of the impact of the Covid-19 health crisis on the finances of parishes and the diocese. The form for the 2021 financial statement submission is available in Word, PDF and Excel formats on the our website, Extranet section.
