ARCHBISHOP'S BRUNCH: ANOTHER SUCCESS FOR THE FINAL BRUNCH OF THE 2ND ANNUAL TOUR
The second tour of the Archbishop's brunches, in partnership with the diocese and the Novatio Foundation, concluded on January 26th for the Pastoral Zone of the Centre, at the Parish Hall of Ste-Trinité Parish.
Thanks to the participation of many people and the collective efforts of the organizers and volunteers, this fourth brunch raised $6,758, which was redistributed to three parishes and two organizations in the Gatineau/Buckingham Pastoral Zone. These included the parishes of the Unité pastorale de la Pointe (St-François-de-Sales and St-Rosaire) for a new website project and the coffee meetings project for seniors and isolated individuals, as well as Ste-Trinité Parish, which hosted the brunch. The community organizations benefiting were the Centre d'animation familiale de l'Outaouais and Les Apprentis, an organization supporting the integration of adults with intellectual disabilities.
The four Archbishop's brunches from this second tour across the diocese have raised over $30,000, which has been redistributed to various projects in several parishes and community organizations. This success was made possible thanks to sponsors, including Les Jardins du Souvenir and the accounting firm Monette, Fortin, Tremblay Inc. as major sponsors, donations from individuals, as well as ticket sales and the dedication of many volunteers.
For Archbishop Paul-André Durocher of Gatineau and Mr. Richard Rochefort, Chair of the Novatio Foundation's Board of Directors, this community fundraiser is, in a way, an expression for both organizations' recognition of the mission of parishes and their connection to the local community. Your commitment to the well-being of our society and the common good is of great importance.
In the coming months, the collaboration of the parishes will once again be sought for organizing the third tour of the Archbishop's brunches in the fall of 2025.
