DIOCESAN PILGRIMAGE PROGRAM FOR THE 350TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE DIOCESE OF QUÉBEC

Most Reverend Paul-André Durocher, Archbishop of Gatineau, will accompany a delegation of some 50 people from the Archdiocese of Gatineau on a pilgrimage to celebrate the 350th anniversary of the Diocese of Quebec on September 14 and 15, 2024.

On the program for this diocesan pilgrimage, participants will have the opportunity to visit the Ursuline and Augustine monasteries, two religious congregations that are important in the early history of the diocesan Church of Quebec. On Sunday, pilgrims will pass through the Holy Door of the Cathedral Basilica, the only Holy Door outside Europe, and visit the Jubilee Gardens and the Centre François de Laval. These visits will be followed by Sunday mass in the Cathedral Basilica, presided over by Mgr Durocher. An animator-guide will accompany the diocesan delegation throughout the weekend. The pilgrimage will end with free time to visit the cathedral's surroundings in Old Quebec, before departing for the return trip to Gatineau.

Registration is open until August 30, 2024, for this diocesan activity as an organized trip on this link, or by their means on this link.
