NEWS FROM THE DIOCESAN SERVICES - March 7, 2023

This week, Archbishop Durocher is participating in the Plenary Meeting of the Bishops of Quebec in Trois-Rivières. As part of this meeting, he will co-facilitate a reflection process on synodality with Marie Chrétien of the Archdiocese of Quebec. This process will bring together about 100 participants for 36 hours and will seek to take stock of the process launched by Pope Francis in relation to the upcoming synod on synodality and to propose courses of action for the dioceses, the ecclesiastical provinces and the AECQ. We invite you to pray for the success of this process.

DECISIVE CALL OF THE CATECHUMENS OF THE DIOCESE

On Sunday, February 26, the first Sunday of Lent, the decisive call took place at the diocesan center where each catechumen was called by name in order to respond to the call received. The 14 "here I am" resounded, one after the other, in a silent solemnity, like so many notes played to constitute a human symphony: a whole people on the march!

Many emotions were visible on the faces of these newly called. A celebration presided over by our Archbishop, Paul-André Durocher, which marks another step in the catechumenal journey of these catechumens coming from different parishes of our diocese.

WE WELCOME A NEW COLLEAGUE INVOLVED IN SOCIAL MINISTRY

Mario Béland, s.m. is a brother in the Marist Fathers' community. At the beginning of February, Bishop Durocher entrusted him with the file of social ministry at the diocesan level. More information

A DONATION TO NOVATIO TO SUPPORT INNOVATIVE PROJECTS
